CINEMATIC - Employs a highly photographic and filmic quality. Well composed shots of a mixture of identifiable and unidentifiable textured objects coming in and out of dark waters. A range of medium, wide, and close up shots of the different states of the dark liquid: calm, boiling, flowing, rushing. A reflection of the power of Dexter’s dark passenger.
MACRO - Utilizing only macro shots of what looks like organisms coming in and out of light and focus, this treatment provides a re-examination of what makes up Dexter. The black on black palette ties it to this season’s broadcast campaign and provides a slicker refresh to the usual red graphic palette. Conveys the idea that Dexter in its essence is a show about examination if not through a dark scientific way.
HEAT - A seemingly stark and cool treatment but is activated through heat. Using metallic paper, we focus on the edges of these sheets as they burn and transform (shrink, shrivel, momentarily expand, etc.).
